Casa Margarita is a place to disconnect, relax, and reconnect with your family, friends, and nature. We no longer accept clients who are working remotely. Thank you for understanding and respecting our space. We look forward to continuing to provide a supportive space for relaxation, unwinding, and surfing until you drop on your yoga mats:)
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE WAVE.
Casa Margarita is situated on a one-quarter acre private lot that rests mere steps to a world-class left point break wave.
LOW SEASON (May to September)
The wave breaks year round with larger swells, starting in April and continuing through the American summer. This is an ideal time to visit because swells are more consistent and the lineup is less crowded - if you can handle the heat!
HIGH SEASON (October to April)
For those who like the cooler temperatures, clean and consistent knee to shoulder/head high waves occur in the high season, which runs October through April.
October and April are my favorite months here in Saladita, with bigger swells running through these bookend months.
PERFECT FOR BEGINNERS (December & January)
Mid-December to mid-January are when the waves are the smallest yet very fun, clean, and consistent - ideal for beginners and long boarders in the knee high club.
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PROPERTY.
Once you enter the gate, you know you have entered into a unique place of rest and rejuvenation. Once in the gardens - containing a variety of native plant species and home to many tropical birds, curious iguanas, and clever geckos - you wind down a path that leads to a cool pool ready to float yourself into bliss.
In this new world, we understand your need to connect to work remotely from time to time. So, we are one of the few rental properties in our small community who have business-class internet for that Zoom call that needs to be attended to.
The property contains two houses. The main house contains a spacious, open-air kitchen on the first floor with a private bedroom and bathroom, which is available for rent. You will have access to the whole property except the master bedroom when you rent a space at Casa Margarita.
The second floor is the entertainment area with bar and big screen television so you can kick back and watch your favorite surf movie, with the breeze blowing through the window screens.
The third floor boasts an open-air, covered patio. It is a great place to swing in a hammock, watch the sunrise over the mountains coffee in hand, grab a workout, or find bliss on your yoga mat. It's enough space for six yogis, comfortably.
The second-story casita is 1,000 square feet of self-contained, private living. It has a full kitchen stocked with cooking essentials, two bedrooms with new A/C units, full bathroom upstairs as well as a full bath downstairs for a post-beach rinse.
The house provides purified drinking water, coffee, and tea; the rest is up to you. We highly recommended shopping at the Soriana MEGA in Zihuatanejo as your stop between the airport (ZIH) and your arrival to Playa La Saladita, which is a 45-minute drive winding through the base of the mountains.
The casita contains two uniquely decorated bedrooms, each with a private balcony and plenty of closet space. The casita is equipped with air conditioning in the bedrooms and custom- designed, locally made furniture.
The couch transitions into a single bed as well, making the casita sleep 5 people. All beds are queen size (two bedrooms in the casita and one in the main house, which is open for 2 more people) with luxury linens and extra fluffy pillows to collapse into after you're surfed silly.
